What the documented increases cost a firm of your size, per month and per year.
Software price increases are easy to announce and hard to total. Enter how many companies, users or accounts you have on each tool below and the calculator adds up the extra cost per year. It uses only increases where we have documented the old and the new price of the same plan and billing basis, and the new price is what the vendor’s own pricing page lists today.
The calculator needs JavaScript. The same figures are listed in the tables below.
Latest increase uses each plan’s most recent documented increase from the last two years. Cumulative since 2021 compares the earliest price we documented from 2021 onward (or from the plan’s last restructure, where one is documented) with today’s list price, so it includes every increase in between. Extra per year = (new price − old price) × 12 × the number you enter. Prices are US list prices before promotions and tax; billing-period differences are labelled.

What is not included
TaxDome is left out because it restructured its plans in 2025 and no dated source documents the step from its 2023 price to today’s. Professional tax software is left out because it is licensed per tax year in packages that publishers define differently. Plans that are no longer on the vendor’s pricing page are also left out. A starting price marked † comes from a source that does not state the billing period or unit, and one marked § from a page that does not name a country or currency; both are shown as reported. See each vendor’s price history page for its full history.

How do I calculate what a software price increase costs?
Subtract the old price from the new price, multiply by 12 for the annual difference, and multiply by the number of companies, users or seats you pay for. For example, a $10 monthly increase across 25 client companies costs 25 × $10 × 12 = $3,000 a year.
Which price increases does the calculator use?
Increases where a source gives the old and the new price of the same plan and billing basis, and the new price matches the vendor’s own pricing page today. The “since 2021” view uses the earliest documented price from 2021 onward as the starting point.
Does the calculator include tax software?
No. Tax software is licensed per tax year in packages that vary by publisher, so its history is shown in per-source tables on each vendor’s price-history page.
